My “life’s DJ with a playlist for absolutely everything” title is kicking into gear today. I know that Christian cancel culture really struggles with modern music. But I like to take secular music and consider giving it a spin - it’s already loaded with passion, right? That is the kind of relationship I want with Jesus, don’t you?
So, let’s take a look at Ed Sheeran’s Shivers. Here’s a song I love to dance to in the living room every time it comes on. Of course, it’s hard to spin all of the lyrices… But I’m going to pull out a few.

Think of this in the context of your relationship with God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Doesn’t it light your soul on fire? Something to think about!

What I’ve got coming up is pretty exciting!
If you haven’t discovered it yet, I launched a new devotional series. It is free for the first 7 devotionals. Then, if you opt in to that newsletter as a free subscriber you’ll receive the preview which is the Scripture of the day and a blurb about the devotional. If you upgrade to paid at $7 a month, then you can get the devotionals in the entirety each day. Once I have about 30 devotionals up, then I will put it all together in an ebook for purchase. If you are a paid subscriber here, then you will receive a coupon if you decide you want to purchase the digital copy where they are all in one place. If you don’t want to bother with a paid subscription, but would like the devotional book, you can pre-order it HERE. In 2025 I will be making it available in print form.

Also coming up - and you will see these sections on my main Substack site - I am releasing my new book right here! One chapter a week. The first one will be free to all of my subscribers. Then after that, only paid tier subscribers will have access to those chapters. My book has transformed in title in the last year - and finally landed on Tagged: Ditching Life’s Labels for Living Your Authentic Life and includes a memoir of my journey that led me to become an Identity Strategist. That will launch in two weeks on Monday. Once all chapters are released, the book will be released in digital copy to the general public. You can pre-order it here.
Then, you will see a section called Story Summit. This is for all stories - fiction/non. It’s free to all readers. If you want to contribute a story - check out that contributor offer - it’s so crazy I included Story Summit AND the Tagged universe in that as well so you don’t have to subscribe separately. Story Summit will be an evergreen status in that section and I will pull from it often to share with followers and on Notes (Substack’s way better version of social media. Seriously, have you grabbed your app yet?).
There’s not a section yet for it, but stay tuned. I am about to launch A Beautiful Machine - another free section of my Substack and it’s all about what I’ve been learning in the health/wellness space. Will probably write more on that in the next newsletter. And further down the pike is my next book Leverage: Maximize, Multiply & Live Free I will likely have it out early in 2025. Physical copies of all the books I’ve mentioned here will be made available sometime early in 2025.
I’ve got a long weekend coming up so I’m gonna get off of here and finish preparing for that! Next week I will share more about the change to The Phoenix Whisperer and looking at life through the container of our stories that rise from where life has tried to burn us down.
