Day 1 Unexpected Kingdom Beginnings
A baby king in a feeding trough?
Prophecy:
Micah 5:2 MSG But you, Bethlehem, the runt of the litter - from you will come the leader who will shepherd-rule Israel. He’ll be no upstart, no pretender. His family tree is ancient and distinguished.
Fulfillment
Luke 2:6, 7 TPT When they arrived in Bethlehem, Mary went into labor, and there she gave birth to her firstborn son. After wrapping the newborn baby in strips of cloth, they laid him in a feeding trough since there was no available space in any upper room in the village.
Can you sit and imagine this for a minute… this living nativity scene? The OG of nativity scenes that decorate homes and lawns and church pageants… Heaven’s royalty wrapped in rags and placed in something that the animals ate from?
Not something any of us would expect from a king, is it? Certainly not one with a distinguished family tree!
Sometimes God’s biggest answers arrive in the most unglamorous packaging. Not because He’s hiding… but because He’s revealing something we don’t even know to look for yet. We haven’t recognized the signs nor connected the dots to lead us to that aha moment yet.
What if the place in your life that feels ‘beneath” your calling is actually where your royalty-ship is being forged? What if your higher calling actually starts as your lower calling?
What if that place we’d prefer to just overlook altogether is actually where God is delivering the next chapter of your breakthrough?
God isn’t gone. He hasn’t abandoned you. You just aren’t looking in the mangers of your life.
Live ignited!

Prayer
Dear Lord,
Please help me loosen my grip on what I thought you would / want you to do. Open my eyes to the way You’re moving right now… quietly, humbly… unexpectedly.
