Mary? Martha? The Moments We Crave

In my personal study, I loved the way The Mirror App expressed this and of course TPT. The Message offers that Jesus informs Martha that the main course isn’t what she’s serving.

Many of us are familiar with these verses. When I did a little bit more indepth word study of this verse, I realized that Martha wasn’t just distracted by her tasks; but her distraction and anxiety over all that had to be done. Did she have ADHD, by chance? Was she a control freak down to every last detail. Jesus and his disciples were in the home at Martha’s invitation. I wonder in today’s vernacular if Jesus would have reminded her, “Girl! You did this to yourself!” haha
