What is SoulScript?
SoulScript is the practice of partnering with Scripture and Holy Spirit to discern:
Who God says He is
Who God says you are
What God is inviting you to do next… and what you’re free to release
This is not Bible study for head knowledge. It’s not content for consumption.
So, what is it then? It’s Scripture activated, Spirit-led Life… for identity, decision-making, taking action and daily life.
Each month, SoulScript centers around a single guided teaching or masterclass that explores themes such as:
Being still in God’s presence when you don’t know what to pray
Discerning God’s voice when all you hear is all silence or all noise
Free will and decision-making with God
Identity beyond roles, labels, and survival patterns
Supernatural capacity for what God entrusts to us
You are invited to practice…not perform.. and certainly not hustle.
What this is (and what it isn’t)
This is:
A content-based membership (not a managed community)
A place for thoughtful teaching, reflection, and spiritual formation
A rhythm you can engage with quietly and privately
A sanctuary for those who value depth, discernment, and stillness
This is not:
A high-engagement social space
A group you’re expected to show up in constantly
A place where vulnerability is demanded or monitored
A performance-driven spiritual environment
You are free to participate at your own pace.
Why “Mirror & Masterpiece”?
The name comes from 2 Corinthians 3:18 The Mirror App … the invitation to behold, reflect, and be transformed.
Mirror speaks to honest reflection: seeing ourselves clearly in God’s presence.
Masterpiece speaks to identity: who we are becoming as God works within us.
The moment anyone returns to the Lord the veil is gone. The Lord and the Spirit are one; his Lordship sanctions our freedom. A freedom from rules chiseled in stone to the voice of our redeemed design echoing in our hearts. Now, we all, with new understanding, see ourselves in him as in a mirror. The days of window-shopping are over. In him every face is unveiled. In gazing with wonder at the likeness of Elohim displayed in human form, we suddenly realize that we are looking into a mirror, where every feature of their image, articulated in the Lord, is reflected within us. The Spirit of the Lord engineers this radical transformation; we are led from an inferior mind-set to the revealed endorsement of our authentic identity. From the fading glory of our own doing, to the discovery of the most amazing reality, that we are God’s glorious masterpiece!
SoulScript is one of the foundational practices within this broader identity journey.
Over time, Mirror & Masterpiece will expand… but SoulScript is where we begin.
Why The Phoenix Whisperer ?
You may notice that the website connected to this publication is thephoenixwhisperer.com.
That name was given to me years ago when someone said:
“You whisper life into stories that rise from the ashes… stories that survived what tried to burn them down.”
Story has always been central to my work. Stories are life’s souvenirs. Our stories are not distractions from transformation… they are often the doorway into it. What you read here is shaped by lived experience, faith, loss, restoration, and quiet perseverance.

The membership is intentionally simple. If you’d like a personalized 1:1 SoulScript Session, sign up as a Founding Member which includes that. (I will reach out so we can get that scheduled. Normally, those run anywhere from 45 to 90 minutes and are scheduled 9:30 -11:00 AM CST or 1:30-3:00 PM CST on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, or Saturday as my schedule allows. I can also accommodate some evening 7:00 - 8:30 PM CST time slots as well on Tues / Thurs. I never do sessions on Sundays or Mondays or Wednesday evenings.)
A note on access & membership payment
For the smoothest experience and fastest processing, this publication is best viewed and subscribed to via a non-Apple browser (such as Chrome) rather than the Substack app.
I don’t recommend the app because it’s been a nightmare for me because there is no way to manage what content ends up in my app inbox / notifications (ie: a bunch of subscriber-only content I’m not subscribed to so I get notifications on locked content I can’t even read! But I’d never get notified when someone commented on my post!) In fact, I deleted it from my phone. Originally, I thought I would use to in order to chat with my readers, but it just never worked the way I had hoped it would. So, I pass on this warning to my readers now!
(Apple Pay subscriptions include additional processing delays and fees. I just don’t want you to be surprised when that $33 fee ends up being $43 instead!)
