A number associated in the Bible of God’s power and provision in John 21:
Jesus also appeared to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias in the following incident:
Simon Peter and Thomas the twin, Nathaniel from Cana in Galilee, the Zebedee brothers and two of the other disciples were together. It was Simon’s idea to go fishing, so they joined him and got into a boat and spent the night trying, but caught nothing.
By daybreak Jesus was waiting for them at the shore but they did not recognize him.
Jesus asked them, Lads, haven’t you got anything to eat? They said, Nope.
Then he told them to cast the net on the right side of the boat and they will definitely find some; so they did and took so many fish that they were unable to haul them in.
Then the disciple whom Jesus was so fond of said to Peter, It is the Lord. When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girded his outer garment around him since he was naked, and promptly jumped into the water.
The other disciples dragged the net full of fish with a little boat. They were only about 100 yards from the shore. When they got out of the boat they were surprised to see a coal fire with fried fish and bread on it.
Jesus suggested that they also bring some of the fish they had just caught.
Simon Peter joined them and pulled the net ashore; they counted 153 large fish, and the net didn’t even tear.

Afterwards, they sat around a campfire where Jesus cooked fish and they had another sort of last supper before his ascension.
Can you imagine such a catch and then a celebratory campfire feast on the beach with Jesus our Savior?

When I’ve been asked about my specific goals when numbers are concerned, my answer normally contains the number 153 and I normally get a reply to the tune of “That’s.. Uh…. oddly specific.”
I know, right?
I’ve done the math and it’s specific indeed.
I just want to put this out here because there are people in my world who just want the bottom line and I will be transparent here: It is on me for the next 2-3 months to support my family. This is not just living expenses, but covering insurance premiums while Kevin is off of work, ongoing medical bills, 30% of the cost of his prosthetic which we don’t even know what that is going to be yet - but it’s not going to be cheap - we know that and we also know we don’t have the money for it. So these are my goals.
153 monthly subscribers at $9 a month. I feel like this is extremely doable and an easy way for people to help support us that haven’t felt like they could support us and make a difference. Collectively, this makes a huge difference. This would pay for our living expenses.
153 annual subscribers at $97 a year. This is also extremely doable for many people. So, I don’t think this is a far reaching goal either. When we meet this goal, this pays for our current medical expenses and obligations and likely the prosthetic as well. My car also needs repairs from being side-swiped by an uninsured driver and brakes need to be replaced. If we met this goal - this would be life changing for us and ease a huge burden!

Help us fill up all the squares and this will fill in the gaps of any unforeseen / unexpected expenses - or where we might fall short on subscriber goals. This isn’t easy for me. If you know me, I don’t even like asking for money for my work! I never have - much to the exasperation of my coaches in the past.
